Trump Announces Creation of 'Trump Class' Warships

The United States has taken a significant step towards strengthening its Navy. US President Donald Trump has approved a plan to build two powerful battleships. Trump announced this on December 22, 2025, in Florida, stating that these new warships will be the fastest, the largest, and 100 times more powerful than any battleships ever built. These new class of powerful naval warships will be named 'Trump Class'.

These warships are part of America's new naval modernization initiative called 'Golden Fleet'. The Trump administration states that the purpose of these ships is to replace the old fleet of the US Navy while maintaining military superiority. Trump, in the presence of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, mentioned that these ships will instill fear among America's enemies worldwide.

Features of the Battleships

The 'Trump Class' battleships will be a new class of heavily armed warships, which will be part of the Golden Fleet. Initially, there will be two ships in this program. Afterward, the number of ships is expected to increase to eight and then possibly to 20-25, according to American officials. The first ship will be named USS Defiant.

Regarding the features of these new battleships, Donald Trump himself claimed that they would be 100 times more powerful than any battleships ever built. These ships will weigh more than 30,000 tons, making them significantly larger than current warships.
