Your House Will Get a Unique Number from Today
If someone comes to your door between May 1 and May 30 with chalk or a marker, do not consider it just a routine government process. This number will give your house a unique location identity on official maps.
Along with the rest of the country and state, the process of house listing has begun in Indore from May 1. This housing census, conducted before the population census, will continue until May 30.
Survey Details in Indore
- The work will be carried out in 22 zones and 85 wards within the Indore Municipal Corporation limits.
- A total of 3,865 blocks have been created for the survey.
- Each block map has been prepared and will be verified before the survey.
- The survey will be conducted door-to-door using digital methods.
- Each block includes approximately 200 houses or a population of 700–800 people.
- Around 800,000 houses will be covered in the municipal area.
According to Additional Commissioner and Census In-charge N.N. Pandey, 30 days have been allocated for the census process. The Municipal Commissioner is the Chief Census Officer for the IMC area.
- A total of 4,269 staff members have been assigned duty.
- One supervisor has been appointed for every six blocks.
- Survey staff have received training at three levels.
- Each surveyor has been provided with a house listing block map.
- No fixed daily target, but surveying 20 houses per day can complete the work in 10–15 days.
