Wimbledon 2025: Prize Money Increases by 7%, Winners to Receive ₹34 Crore

The third Grand Slam of the year, Wimbledon, will begin on June 30 and conclude on July 13. This year, the winners in both the men's and women's singles categories will receive 11.1% more prize money compared to last year.

Officials from the All England Club, the host of Wimbledon, announced that the total prize pool for the tournament has been increased to a record £53.5 million (approximately ₹6.23 billion). Out of this, each singles champion will receive £3 million (around ₹34.93 crore). This amount is 7% higher than last year and £3.5 million more than before.

This is double the prize money offered to players at the grass-court Grand Slam a decade ago. Deborah Jevans, chair of the All England Club, said, “We are proud of the significant prize money increases we’ve made over the last 10 years. This year, we have increased the prize pool by nearly 7% compared to the last tournament.”

Players who lose in the first round of the singles draw will receive £66,000 (approximately ₹7.6 lakh), which is a 10% increase over last year.
