केंद्र सरकार ने विवादों में घिरे महादेव एप समेत 22 अवैध सट्टेबाजी एप और वेबसाइटों पर 5 नवंबर को प्रतिबंध लगा दिया। इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय ने यह कार्रवाई ईडी के अनुरोध पर की है। मंत्रालय ने इस सिलसिले में आदेश भी जारी कर दिया है। इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी राज्यमंत्री राजीव चंद्रशेखर ने कहा कि छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार के पास आइटी अधिनियम की धारा 69ए के तहत वेबसाइट को बंद करने की सिफारिश करने का पूरा अधिकार था। लेकिन राज्य सरकार की ओर से इस तरह का कोई अनुरोध नहीं किया गया था। छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार कर रही मामले की जांच चंद्रशेखर ने बताया कि एप पर प्रतिबंध का पहला और एकमात्र अनुरोध ईडी से प्राप्त हुआ था। उन्होंने कहा कि डेढ़ साल से छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार इस मामले की जांच कर रही थी। उसे किसी ने भी प्रतिबंध का अनुरोध करने से नहीं रोका था। मंत्रालय की ओर से जारी आधिकारिक बयान में कहा गया है कि महादेव बुक और रेड्डीअन्नाप्रिस्टोप्रो सहित 22 अवैध सट्टेबाजी एप और वेबसाइटों के खिलाफ ब्लॉकिंग आदेश जारी किए गए हैं। यह कार्रवाई अवैध सट्टेबाजी एप सिंडिकेट के खिलाफ ईडी द्वारा की गई जांच और उसके बाद छत्तीसगढ़ में महादेव बुक पर छापे के बाद हुई, जिसमें एप के गैरकानूनी संचालन की बात सामने आई। मंत्रालय ने अपने बयान में कहा है कि आरोपित भीम सिंह यादव और असीम दास को वर्तमान में मनी लांड्रिंग रोकथाम अधिनियम की धारा 19 के तहत ईडी ने गिरफ्तार किया है। दोनों फिलहाल ईडी की हिरासत में हैं। क्या है आरोप? आरोपित भीम सिंह छत्तीसगढ़ पुलिस में कांस्टेबल है, जबकि असीम दास महादेव एप के मालिकों की ओर से पैसा पहुंचाता था। बताते चलें, ईडी ने छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल को सट्टेबाजी कराने वाले महादेव एप के प्रमोटरों की ओर से 508 करोड़ रुपये दिए जाने का दावा किया है। ईडी के अनुसार, कैश डिलीवर करने वाले असीम दास के मोबाइल और ईमेल से मिले इलेक्ट्रानिक दस्तावेज से भूपेश बघेल को 508 करोड़ रुपये दिए जाने के प्रारंभिक सुबूत मिले हैं और इसकी जांच की जा रही है। बीएसपी के सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारी सहित तीन घरों पर ED की छापेमारी ईडी ने रविवार सुबह में छत्तीसगढ़ के भिलाई में तीन घरों में एक साथ दबिश दी है। सेवानिवृत्त शिक्षक भास्कर उन्नीयन, सेवानिवृत्त बीएसपी ( भिलाई स्टील प्लांट) कर्मी श्रीकांत मुसले और मुस्तफा मंजिल के मालिक एमबीए मिर्जा के घर पर दबिश दी। तीनों के बच्चे दुबई में रहते हैं। बताया जा रहा है कि ईडी को ये जानकारी मिली थी कि उक्त लोग महादेव एप के प्रमोटर सौरभ चंद्राकर और रवि उप्पल के संपर्क में हैं और इन दोनों के पास हवाला के माध्यम से रुपये पहुंचाने में सहायता करते हैं। ईडी के छापे की कार्रवाई दोपहर तक चली। उसके बाद ईडी की टीम वहां से निकल गई। इसे लेकर कहा गया कि ईडी को यहां से कुछ भी नहीं मिला। हालांकि, देर रात इस बात का हल्ला मचा कि इस कार्रवाई में ईडी को करोड़ों रुपये मिले हैं, लेकिन इस बात की पुष्टि कहीं से नहीं हो पाई।

This action was taken following the ED's investigation into illegal gambling apps, particularly the Mahadev app, and the subsequent raids on Mahadev Book in Chhattisgarh, which revealed unlawful activities associated with the app. Accusations: The accused, Bhim Singh Yadav and Asim Das, were arrested by the ED under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Both are currently in ED custody. According to the ED, Bhupesh Baghel, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, is alleged to have received ₹508 crore from the promoters of the Mahadev app, which facilitated illegal gambling. The ED has initial evidence obtained from electronic documents found on Asim Das's mobile and email communications, indicating the transfer of funds to Bhupesh Baghel. An investigation into these allegations is ongoing. ED raids at three locations, including retired government employees: The ED conducted simultaneous raids at three locations in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. These locations included the homes of retired government employees Bhaskar Unniyam and Shrikant Musale, who had worked for the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), as well as the residence of MB Mirza, the owner of MB Mirza. It is alleged that these individuals were in contact with the promoters of the Mahadev app, Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, and were assisting in transferring money through hawala channels. The ED's raid lasted until the afternoon, and no significant findings were reported during the operation. However, there were reports in the late evening suggesting that the ED had recovered millions of rupees during the operation, although this information has not been officially confirmed.
