25 फरवरी से भारतीय सेना और जापान ग्राउंड सेल्फ डिफेंस फोर्स के बीच संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास ‘धर्म गार्जियन’का 5वां संस्करण राजस्थान के महाजन फील्ड फायरिंग रेंज में शुरू हुआ।

इस अभ्यास का आयोजन 25 फरवरी से 9 मार्च 2024 तक किया जा रहा है।

अभ्यास ‘धर्म गार्जियन’एक वार्षिक सैन्य अभ्यास है और इसका वैकल्पिक रूप से आयोजन भारत और जापान में किया जाता है। दोनों देशों की टुकड़ी में 40-40 जवान शामिल हैं। जापानी दल का प्रतिनिधित्व 34वीं इन्फैंट्री रेजिमेंट के सैनिकों द्वारा और भारतीय सेना दल का प्रतिनिधित्व राजपूताना राइफल्स की एक बटालियन द्वारा किया जा रहा है।

अभ्यास का उद्देश्य सैन्य सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना और संयुक्त राष्ट्र चार्टर के अध्याय VII के अंतर्गत अर्ध-शहरी परिस्थितियों में संयुक्त अभियानों को पूरा करने के लिए संयुक्त क्षमताओं में वृद्धि करना है। यह अभ्यास उच्च स्तर की शारीरिक फिटनेस, संयुक्त योजना, संयुक्त सामरिक अभ्यास और विशेष हथियार कौशल पर केंद्रित होगा।

This exercise is being organized from 25 February to 9 March 2024.

Exercise ‘Dharma Guardian’ is an annual military exercise and is conducted alternately in India and Japan. The contingent of both the countries includes 40-40 soldiers. The Japanese contingent is being represented by soldiers of the 34th Infantry Regiment and the Indian Army contingent is being represented by a battalion of the Rajputana Rifles.

The objective of the exercise is to promote military cooperation and enhance joint capabilities to conduct joint operations in semi-urban conditions under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter. The exercise will focus on high level physical fitness, joint planning, joint tactical exercises and special weapons skills.
