संसद के शीतकालीन सत्र के 11वें दिन 18 दिसंबर को लोकसभा और राज्यसभा से विपक्ष के 78 सांसदों को निलंबित किया गया. इनमें 33 सांसद लोकसभा और 45 राज्यसभा से थे. इन सांसदों को 13 दिसंबर को संसद की सुरक्षा में सेंधमारी के बाद अशोभनीय आचरण को लेकर निलंबित किया गया.

इनमें 34 सांसदों को संसद के पूरे शीतकालीन सत्र के लिए सस्पेंड किया गया. वहीं 11 सांसदों को प्रिविलेज कमेटी की रिपोर्ट आने तक निलंबित किया गया. यह समिति तीन महीने के भीतर रिपोर्ट सौंपेगी. इन्हें नियम 256 के तहत सस्पेंड किया गया है. जिन सांसदों को निलंबित किया गया है, उसमें कई विपक्षी पार्टियों के सांसद हैं.
