Amarnath Yatra 2025: Spot Registration Begins June 30, Know the Process
If you missed the official registration for the Shri Amarnath Yatra 2025, there is still a chance! From June 30, spot registration will be available in Jammu on a first-come, first-served basis, under the daily quota system.
Where and How to Register
Counters have been set up across Jammu city for spot registration. Pilgrims must carry their Aadhaar card. Tokens will be issued at Saraswati Dham near the railway station, followed by registration at five designated centers in the city.
After a mandatory medical check-up, RFID cards will be issued. Previously registered pilgrims can collect their cards from over 60 designated points including Lakhanpur, Samba, Jammu, Chanderkot, and Banihal.
Yatri Niwas and Launch Details
The Yatri Niwas in Jammu and Srinagar will be opened for pilgrims from July 1. On July 2, the first group of pilgrims will be flagged off by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, with the first darshan expected on July 3.
Security and Facilities
Security arrangements have been finalized. Camp Directors and Assistant Camp Directors are deployed at both Pahalgam and Baltal routes. Tent cities have been established at Baltal and Nunwan for accommodation.
There are 16 oxygen booths on the Baltal route and 10 on the Pahalgam route. Over 50 medical stations, including base hospitals and mobile medical camps, have been set up for health emergencies.
Accommodation and Langar Services
More than 50,000 pilgrims can be accommodated across 141 centers from Lakhanpur to Banihal. Hygiene and sanitation staff have been deployed in all camps and surrounding areas.
Additionally, nearly 200 langars (community kitchens) have been established along the highway and the Yatra path for food distribution.
Saints, sages, and pilgrims have already started arriving in Jammu in large numbers, with many temples offering them shelter and basic amenities.
