Chartered Accountancy (CA) is a professional course that can be pursued after 12th or graduation. This field not only offers great career growth but also grants respect and prestige in society. Recognized by an Act passed by the Indian Parliament, it is governed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Students who wish to pursue CA after completing 12th must first register for the Foundation Course. After completing the Foundation, Intermediate, Final, and Articleship, one can become a professional CA. For those who have already completed graduation (with 55% in Commerce or 60% in other streams), ICAI also offers a Direct Entry Scheme, which allows entry directly into the Intermediate course without the need for the Foundation exam.
There is no age limit for pursuing the CA course, and there are no specific percentage requirements in 12th for eligibility. Additionally, as per the latest decision by ICAI, the CA Final exam will now be conducted three times a year, instead of twice.
