46 दिनों से जारी इजरायल-हमास युद्ध में 23 नवंबर से चार दिनों के संघर्ष विराम की सहमति बन गई है। समझौते के तहत अतिवादी संगठन हमास सात अक्टूबर को अगवा कर बंधक बनाए गए लोगों में से 50 महिलाएं और बच्चे रिहा करेगा, इसके बदले इजरायल अपनी जेलों में बंद 150 फलस्तीनी महिलाएं और बच्चे छोड़ेगा। हत्या के आरोप में बंदी किसी भी कैदी की इजरायली जेल से रिहाई नहीं होगी।

बंधकों-कैदियों की यह अदलाबदली गाजा पट्टी में संघर्ष विराम के दौरान होगी। हालांकि युद्धविराम लागू होने से पहले गाजा में इजरायली सेना के भीषण हमले और हमास द्वारा उनका प्रतिरोध जारी है। अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडन के जोर देने पर कतर की मध्यस्थता में हुए संघर्ष विराम समझौते पर भारत सहित पूरे विश्व ने खुशी जताई है। इससे गाजा में इजरायली हमलों में मारे जा रहे निर्दोष लोगों की जान बचेगी, साथ ही वहां की 23 लाख आबादी के जीवन की मुश्किलें कम होंगी। इसके साथ महीनों-वर्षों से मामूली अपराधों में इजरायली जेलों में बंद फलस्तीनी महिलाओं और बच्चों की रिहाई संभव होगी। बदले में डेढ़ महीने से हमास के बंधक बने इजरायली नागरिकों की घर वापसी संभव होगी।

In the 46-day-long Israel-Hamas war, a four-day ceasefire has been agreed from November 23. With this, it will be possible to release Palestinian women and children who have been in Israeli jails for minor crimes for months and years. In return, it will be possible for Israeli citizens who have been held hostage by Hamas for one and a half months to return home.
