1988 बैच की अधिकारी वीरा राणा को मुख्य सचिव पद का अतिरिक्त प्रभार दिया गया है। चुनाव आयोग की सहमति मिलने के बाद सामान्य प्रशासन विभाग ने 29 नवंबर को वीरा राणा को वर्तमान दायित्व के साथ मुख्य सचिव का अतिरिक्त प्रभार देने के आदेश जारी किए। इसके पहले उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान से सौजन्य भेंट की। यह दूसरा अवसर है, जब दूसरी महिला अधिकारी मुख्य सचिव पद का दायित्व संभालेंगी।
