पीएम नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कहा है कि वैश्विक अस्थिरता के इस दौर में भारत एक उम्मीद की किरण के तौर पर स्थापित हुआ है और वैश्विक विकास के इंजन, एक विश्वसनीय मित्र और स्थिरता के तौर पर इसे देखा जा रहा है। 10 जनवरी को गुजरात वाइब्रेंट समिट का शुभारंभ करते हुए पीएम ने एक तरफ विदेशी निवेशकों को अपनी सरकार के पिछले दस वर्षों के रिकार्ड के आधार पर भारत में बढ़ चढ़ कर निवेश करने का आह्ववान किया तो दूसरी तरफ भारतीय कारपोरेट सेक्टर को भी बड़े सपने देखने को कहा।

मोदी ने कहा कि, “आप जिनता बड़ा सपना देखेंगे, मेरा संकल्प उतना ही बड़ा होगा।'' भारत की प्रगति की संभावनाओं पर आशंका जताने वालों की तरफ सांकेतिक तौर पर उन्होंने कहा कि, यह मेरी गारंटी है कि भारत अगले कुछ वर्षों में दुनिया की तीसरी बड़ी इकोनमी बन जाएगा। यूएई के प्रेसिटेंड शेख मोहम्मद बिन जायद इस साल आयोजन के प्रमुख मेहमान के तौर पर शामिल हुए। उन्होंने इस सम्मेलन को संबोधित भी किया जबकि वह बहुत ही कम अवसर पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में भाषण देते हैं। यहां तक कि हाल ही में दुबई में संपन्न काप-28 (पर्यावरण सुरक्षा पर सम्मेलन) में भी उन्होंने कोई भाषण नहीं दिया था। यह भारत और यूएई के बीच मजबूत होते रिश्ते व मोदी व शेख मोहम्मद के बीच के संबंधों को भी बताता है।
