औपनिवेशिक आपराधिक न्याय प्रणाली की जगह भारतीय न्याय प्रणाली के नए युग का आगाज करने वाले तीन विधेयकों पर संसद की मुहर लग गई। लोकसभा के बाद 21 दिसंबर को राज्यसभा से भी तीनों विधेयक पारित हो गए। भारतीय न्याय संहिता, भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता और भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम से जुड़े विधेयकों पर चर्चा का जवाब देते हुए गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा कि देश अब में ब्रिटिश संसद द्वारा बनाए कानूनों की जगह भारतीयों द्वारा, भारतीयों के लिए और भारतीय संसद द्वारा बनाए गए कानून का शासन होगा।

Parliament has approved three bills that will usher in a new era of the Indian justice system by replacing the colonial criminal justice system. After the Lok Sabha, all three bills were also passed by the Rajya Sabha on 21 December. Responding to the discussion on the bills related to the Indian Judicial Code, the Indian Civil Defense Code and the Indian Evidence Act, Home Minister Amit Shah said that instead of the laws made by the British Parliament, the country now has laws made by Indians, for Indians and by the Indian Parliament. There will be rule of law.
