Madhya Pradesh Schools Will Now Face Evaluations Alongside Students

Schools in Madhya Pradesh will no longer be known just for academics. Now, they will also be rated based on cleanliness, greenery, and responsibility, which will help instill positive habits and awareness in students. Efforts are being made to transform schools—considered temples of education—into models of cleanliness and environmental responsibility.

As part of this initiative, a Clean and Green School Assessment will be carried out in both government and private schools of Dewas district. The goal is to raise awareness among students about cleanliness, environmental protection, and personal responsibility.

According to the instructions of the Education Department, schools will be evaluated based on defined parameters of cleanliness and greenery. Based on these assessments, schools will receive ratings at the district and state levels.

Schools are required to register on the SHVR portal and prepare accordingly. A district-level team will first conduct evaluations, followed by state-level rating procedures. Registration for all government and private schools in the district has begun and will continue until September 30.

Many schools have already started preparing based on the set criteria. DPC Ajay Mishra confirmed that registration has commenced. He added that such a rating system helps inculcate values of cleanliness, environmental conservation, and responsibility in students, while also improving overall school infrastructure and atmosphere.
