मध्यप्रदेश में 16वीं विधानसभा का विशेष सत्र 18 दिसंबर को से शुरू हो गया। चार दिन तक चलने वाले इस सत्र के पहले दिन प्रोटेम स्पीकर गोपाल भार्गव ने 207 विधायकों को पद और गोपनीयता की शपथ दिलाई।

प्रोटेम स्पीकर गोपाल भार्गव पहले ही शपथ ले चुके हैं। 12 विधायकों ने संस्कृत, एक ने उर्दू और एक ने अंग्रेजी में शपथ ली। इससे पहले बीजेपी विधायक नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर ने विधानसभा अध्यक्ष पद के लिए नामांकन दाखिल किया। वे निर्विरोध चुने जाएंगे। उन्हें विपक्ष का साथ मिला है। सत्र के पहले दिन सबसे पहले मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. मोहन यादव, उनके बाद नेता प्रतिपक्ष उमंग सिंघार ने शपथ ली।

The special session of the 16th Assembly in Madhya Pradesh started on 18 December. On the first day of this four-day long session, Protem Speaker Gopal Bhargava administered the oath of office and secrecy to 207 MLAs.
