वर्ष 2028 में 27 मार्च से 27 मई तक सिंहस्थ महापर्व सम्पन्न होगा। इस महापर्व में 9 अप्रैल से 8 मई की अवधि में 03 शाही स्नान और 07 पर्व स्नान प्रस्तावित हैं। सिंहस्थ महापर्व में लगभग 14 करोड़ श्रद्धालुओं के आगमन का अनुमान है। अत: इंदौर और उज्जैन संभाग के जिलों को सम्मिलित करते हुए सिंहस्थ-2028 के लिए प्रारंभिक कार्ययोजना बनाई गई है। जिसमें 19 विभागों से संबंधित लगभग 18 हजार 840 करोड़ के 523 कार्य प्रस्तावित हैं। बैठक में श्रद्धालुओं के परिवहन की सुगम व्यवस्था, मुख्य सड़कों के विकास, नवीन सड़कों के निर्माण, पेयजल, क्षिप्रा शुद्धिकरण, विद्युत आपूर्ति, कानून व्यवस्था और ट्रेफिक मैनेजमेंट, सिंहस्थ अवधि में आवास व्यवस्था, पर्यटन स्थलों के विकास आदि विषयों पर विचार-विमर्श हुआ। नगरीय विकास एवं आवास, लोक निर्माण, जल संसाधन, लोक स्वास्थ्य यांत्रिकी, ऊर्जा, गृह, पर्यटन, राजस्व विभाग के अधिकारियों सहित उज्जैन के कमिश्नर, कलेक्टर तथा नगर निगम के अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
