पीथमपुर के स्मार्ट इंडस्ट्रियल पार्क में मालवा-निमाड़ का पहला आप्टिकल फाइबर केबल निर्माण प्लांट 11 जनवरी से उत्पादन शुरू करेगा। केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत औपचारिक उद्घाटन करेंगे। करीब 400 करोड़ के निवेश से यह प्लांट स्थापित किया गया है।

करीब पांच साल पहले प्रताप डिजिटल कम्प्युनिकेशन को मप्र औद्योगिक विकास निगम (पूर्व में एकेवीएन) ने जमीन आवंटित की थी। नेट्रेक्स के पास बने स्मार्ट इंडस्ट्रियल पार्क में दो-तीन वर्षों में शुरू होने वाला यह पहला बड़ा प्लांट है। कोरसिस नाम से आप्टिकल फाइबर के साथ केबल डक्ट बनाने वाले प्लांट को सरकार की ओर से प्रमाणीकरण की प्रक्रिया भी पूरी कर दी है। सफल ट्रायल के बाद इसकी शुरुआत हो रही है।

Malwa-Nimar's first optical fiber cable manufacturing plant at Smart Industrial Park in Pithampur will start production from January 11. Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will formally inaugurate it. This plant has been established with an investment of about Rs 400 crore. About five years ago, land was allotted to Pratap Digital Communication by Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (formerly AKVN). This is the first big plant to be started in two-three years in the Smart Industrial Park near Netrex. The plant manufacturing cable duct with optical fiber under the name Korsis has also completed the process of certification by the government. It is being started after successful trials.
