वैज्ञानिकों ने अरुणाचल में मेंढक की एक नई प्रजाति की खोज की है, जिसका नाम निदिराना नोआदिहिंग है। 23 नवंबर को प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार यह मेंढक, जिसे नोआ-दिहिंग म्यूजिक फ्रॉग के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, चांगलांग और लोहित जिलों में पाया जाता था। यह अपने जीनस के अन्य मेंढकों से फेनोटाइपिक रूप से अलग है और इसमें "मजबूत" शरीर और सुनहरी रिम वाली पुतलियाँ जैसी अनूठी विशेषताएं हैं। यह खोज भारत में निदिराना जीनस की उपस्थिति की पुष्टि करती है और दलदली भूमि जैसे विशेष आवासों की खोज के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालती है। नई प्रजाति का नाम नोआ-दिहिंग नदी के नाम पर रखा गया जहां यह पाई गई थी। वैज्ञानिकों ने जर्नल ज़ूटाक्सा के एक लेख में दावा किया है कि जीनस का नया मेंढक, निदिराना, रूपात्मक लक्षणों के संयोजन से अपने जन्मदाताओं से फेनोटाइपिक रूप से अलग है।

Scientists have discovered a new species of frog in Arunachal, named Nidirana noadihing. According to information received on November 23, this frog, also known as Noa-Dihing Music Frog, was found in Changlang and Lohit districts. It is phenotypically distinct from other frogs in its genus and has unique characteristics such as a "robust" body and golden-rimmed pupils. This discovery confirms the presence of the Nidirana genus in India and highlights the importance of exploring specialized habitats such as marshy lands. The new species was named after the Noa-Dihing River where it was found. Scientists claim in an article in the journal Zootaxa that the new frog of the genus, Nidirana, is phenotypically distinct from its congeners by a combination of morphological traits.
