स्कूल से लेकर उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों में पढ़ने वाले प्रत्येक छात्र को किसी न किसी हुनर (स्किल) से जोड़ने की मुहिम ने रफ्तार पकड़ी है। फिलहाल इस दिशा में विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) ने एक बड़ी पहल की है। 7 दिसंबर को मिली जानकारी के अनुसार उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों को तीन से छह महीने तक के शॉर्ट-टर्म स्किल कोर्सों को शुरू करने की मंजूरी दी गई है।

इसके तहत उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों को तीन से छह महीने तक के शॉर्ट-टर्म स्किल कोर्सों को शुरू करने की मंजूरी दी गई है। जो स्किल के अलग- अलग क्षेत्रों से जुड़े सर्टिफिकेट कोर्स होंगे। इनमें बारहवीं के बाद ही कोई भी छात्र सीधे दाखिला ले सकेगा।

इन क्षेत्रों से जुडे शॉर्ट-टर्म कोर्स शुरू करने सुझाव आर्टीफिशियल इंटेलीजेंस और मशीन लर्निंग, रोबोटिक्स, इंटरनेट ऑफ थिंग्स, स्मार्ट सिटी, डाटा साइंस, क्लॉउड कंप्यूटिंग, वर्चुअल रियलटी,साइबर सिक्यूरिटी, 5जी कनेक्टिविटी, डिजिटल ट्रांसफार्मेशन, इंडस्टि्रयल आटोमेशन, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स सिस्टम डिजाइन, इलेक्ट्रानिक्स मैनुफैक्चरिंग, 3डी प्रिटिंग जैसे 30 क्षेत्रों से जुड़े कोर्स शुरू करने का सुझाव दिया है। नई राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति के तहत 2025 तक स्कूल से लेकर उच्च शिक्षण संस्थानों में पढ़ने वाले कम से कम 50 प्रतिशत छात्रों को किसी न किसी स्किल से जोड़ने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।
