वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय के 2 नवंबर को प्राप्त आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, चालू वित्त वर्ष 2023-24 में अप्रैल-सितंबर में वस्तुओं के कुल निर्यात में पिछले वित्त वर्ष की समान अवधि के मुकाबले 8.77 प्रतिशत की गिरावट रही, लेकिन फार्मा के निर्यात में इस अवधि में पांच प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई। इस साल अप्रैल-सितंबर में 13.3 अरब डालर का फार्मा निर्यात रहा जबकि पिछले साल इस अवधि में 12.7 अरब डालर फार्मा निर्यात किया गया था। इस साल सितंबर में फार्मा निर्यात में 9.01 प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई।

इलेक्ट्रानिक्स की तरह भारत की दवाइयों की मांग भी लगातार बढ़ती जा रही है। चालू वित्त वर्ष 2023-24 में वस्तुओं के कुल निर्यात में लगातार गिरावट के बावजूद फार्मा निर्यात में बढ़ोतरी हो रही है। वित्त वर्ष 2021-22 में फार्मा के आयात में 20 प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई थी। वित्त वर्ष 2022-23 में यह बढ़ोतरी दर घटकर दो प्रतिशत रह गई।

According to the data received from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on November 2, during the current financial year 2023-24, there has been an 8.77% decrease in the total exports of goods in April-September as compared to the same period in the previous financial year. However, the pharmaceutical exports have shown a 5% increase during this period. This year, pharmaceutical exports reached 13.3 billion dollars in April-September, whereas in the previous year, they were 12.7 billion dollars during the same period. In September of this year, pharmaceutical exports increased by 9.01%.

The demand for Indian pharmaceuticals is consistently rising, similar to electronics. Despite an overall decline in the total exports of goods, pharmaceutical exports have continued to grow. In the financial year 2021-22, there was a 20% increase in pharmaceutical imports, but in the financial year 2022-23, this growth rate decreased to 2%.
