Anganwadi Recruitment Goes Fully Online in Madhya Pradesh

Anganwadi Recruitment Goes Fully Online in Madhya Pradesh

The recruitment of Anganwadi workers and assistants in Madhya Pradesh is now being conducted entirely online. This marks a major technological initiative and a step forward toward transparency and efficiency in the hiring process. The state government claims that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in India to adopt this model, and other states are also moving in the same direction.

Model of the Online Recruitment Process

The Women and Child Development Department has decided to shift from traditional offline recruitment to a completely digital process via the MP Online platform. This new system has simplified the application process and aims to eliminate irregularities and bias that were previously reported in manual hiring.

A total of 19,504 positions are to be filled, including 17,477 posts for Anganwadi workers and 2,027 for assistants. So far, around 3.99 lakh applications have already been submitted.

Transparency and Merit-Based System

Under this new system, applicants must upload all their documents—educational qualifications, caste certificates, experience, etc.—online. Based on these inputs, an automated merit list will be generated, eliminating the scope of human intervention and favoritism.

Women and Child Development Minister Nirmala Bhuria stated that this initiative aligns with the Digital India Mission and reflects the transparent governance system promoted by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
